BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

Guided Pilgrimage operates as a not for profit Company limited by guarantee.

Please note that under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

Cancellation Charges:

On receipt of a booking form and non-refundable deposit of £100, you will be sent a confirmation invoice.  The balance of payment is required 6 weeks before departure.  Should you need to cancel your trip please be aware of the following cancellation charges:

More than 42 days before departure – Loss of deposit only

Between 42-28 days before departure – 30% of holiday cost

Between 28-14 days before departure – 50% of holiday cost

Less than 14 days before departure – 100% of holiday cost

NB: charges are calculated from the time written cancellation is received.

It is essential that you ensure you have adequate holiday insurance cover so that you are not out of pocket should you have to cancel. 

Changes to your itinerary:

If you need to make any changes to your holiday please let us know as soon as you can and we will do all within our power to assist you with any amendments.  If we need to make any changes, we will notify you as soon as possible.  If changes are of a serious nature, you will be given the opportunity to rebook or request a refund.

If you find you are not able to keep up with the group, or if we feel that you are not suited to your chosen Pilgrimage either due to unfitness, inadequate kit, etc, then we reserve the right to change you to another Pilgrimage at a later date.

Financial Protection:

We are a small business with reserves to cover our liability at all times.  So in the unlikely event of financial failure, we will be able to return any monies paid towards future holidays that we are not able to provide.  We adher to the majority of the relevant provisions of the European Package Travel Directive.

Liability:

Guided Pilgrimage will accept responsibility for the arrangements we agree to provide or arrange for you as an “organiser”. Subject to these Booking Conditions, if we or our suppliers negligently perform or arrange the services which we are obliged to provide for you under our contract with you, as set out on your confirmation invoice, we will discuss a form of redress with you being guided by our own insurance provisions.

However Guided Pilgrimage is not liable for any injury, damage, loss caused by any sub-contracted services such as accommodation or transport or through force majeure or circumstances which could not have been predicted.

 

Law & Jurisdiction:

These Booking Conditions are governed by English law and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim or other matter which may arise between us (unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you can bring proceedings in your local court under Scottish or Northern Irish law, as applicable).
